16 — Micro molluscs, Liratilia subnodosa

Liratilia subnodosa, Northland, New Zealand.
It’s about 7mm
Liratilia subnodosa Powell, 1934 is a little seashell endemic to northern New Zealand. It is a dove shell (Family: Columbellidae) and as a family they are found worldwide in tropical and temperate seas. There are quite a few species found in New Zealand waters. However, hardly anything is known regarding their ecology.
